Time to change the way you work?
A new 18 month programme is due to launch this month with the intention of getting more people in Leicester City involved with social enterprises.
The programme, funded by the Working Neighbourhoods Fund and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and lead by CaSE-da, the Novas Scarman group and the University of Leicester, will consist of a series of three-hour workshops and seminars aimed at existing social enterprises and also at individuals or groups interested in setting up a social enterprise.
The seminars will provide information for those people considering making the first steps into social enterprise whilst the ten workshops will provide information and training for people in newly set-up or existing social enterprises
Dorothy Francis, training officer at CaSE-da said “This is a really exciting opportunity for local people to obtain quality training in a range of useful and different subjects. Also an element of the programme leads to an accreditation at NVQ level 3 which is a further incentive to get involved.”
All workshops and seminars will take place at the BRITE centre, Braunstone Avenue, Leicester. Refreshments and a light lunch are provided, and the first session will take place on Friday 30th October.
All sessions are free of charge, but places are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.
